Here’s the final cover design for the upcoming coloring book, “Backyard Birds of Rhode Island.” It will be available in-store, and on-line sometime over the next two weeks. Just in time to make a great Christmas gift for those bird lovers in your life!
Here we have the first cover I did for the Audubon Society, who will be publishing this coloring book. Believe it, or not, this is the rejected cover. The full book is set to be out before Christmas! It will be available to order through the Audubon Society.
Thought I’d post one more of the ‘Backyard Birds’ coloring book images. Most of them are done, and just about ready to go into post production. For obvious reasons, I don’t think I’ll post any more of these, but stay tuned for my next project!
For this project (and, hopefully for a series of these coloring books) I liked the idea of including some learning in the book. I’m not entirely sure, but I seem to remember coloring books having this element “back in the day.” I think we’ve gotten away from that learning, but what more fun way to learn, about birds in this case, than by coloring?!!!
wanted to share another image from my ‘Backyard Birds: Fun Facts’ coloring book project. My aim is to create a coloring book that is fun and informative for all ages, but mostly children. My hope is that this will be the first in a series, or at least a set of “Fun Facts” coloring books.
So, now I’m working on a coloring book about birds you’d find in your backyard. This is suitable for adults or children. Plus it has a few “Fun Facts” about each bird type. This is a fun and enjoyable way to get to know your backyard birds!
Wanted to share with you this latest project that I did for a magazine cover design. The good people over at ‘The Bubblah’ needed a cover design for an upcoming issue, and I decided to indulge my love of backyard birds. I just love having those little dinosaurs flitting about!
